The Hook Aids are designed to help you grip and release equipment independently, whether you’re training in the gym or completing functional exercise. Perfect for bars, bar-handle machines, hand bikes, and any equipment where traditional looped aids can’t be used—especially closed-ended bars.
Strong, Stable Double-Hook Design
Each aid features a cleverly engineered stainless-steel double hook that provides exceptional stability under tension. The shape delivers a smooth pulling force that feels natural in use, closely mimicking the sensation of a “real grip.”
A thin V-shaped section and attached elastic loop keep the hook upright, preventing it from dropping under its own weight—making it far easier to reach for overhead or forward-positioned bars. This smart design makes Hook Aids far more versatile than traditional single-direction hook devices.
Optional Silicone Grip Tubes
Each pair comes with four silicone tubes that can be added to the hooks for extra padding and enhanced grip. These reduce rotation, prevent metal-to-metal slipping, and offer a more secure hold on certain bars.
They’re optional—many users prefer the hooks without tubes for padded or rubberised surfaces. If used, the tubes slightly reduce the internal diameter of the hook and are difficult to remove once applied. Simply lubricate with a drop of hand soap and twist on. Assistance may be required, but once fitted, they stay firmly in place.
Customisable Neoprene Fit
The neoprene palm section can be tailored to suit your hand size or to improve access to the elastic loop. After trialling the aids a few times, you may trim the neoprene or create a small slit to guide the loop through—just follow the included instructions carefully. All adjustments are permanent, so modify only once you’re confident with your setup.
