The RedGum Bariatric Side Folding Seat Walker is built for users who need more room and more capacity than a standard rollator gives them. The padded sling seat is 560mm wide and the frame is rated to 200kg, and the handles and backrest adjust independently so the walker can be set up around the user rather than the other way round. It side folds, dropping to 320mm wide for the car or a hallway cupboard without needing to be dismantled.

- Padded sling seat measuring 560mm wide by 420mm deep, sitting 580mm from the floor.
- Height adjustable handles across five settings, from 910 to 1010mm.
- Adjustable backrest, so the user is supported at the right height when seated.
- Ergonomic hand grips shaped to spread pressure across the palm.
- Brake and park brakes, so the walker can be locked before sitting or standing.
- Flat free wheels, 200mm at the front and 250mm at the rear, for footpaths and rougher ground.

Two measurements are worth checking before ordering. Handle height should sit level with the crease of the wrist when the user stands upright with arms relaxed, which puts a slight bend in the elbows on the grips. Seat height is fixed at 580mm, higher than a standard rollator, which suits taller and larger users and makes standing up easier, but confirm the user can sit with their feet flat on the floor.
Also measure the doorways and hallways the walker has to pass through. At 760mm wide in use it needs more room than a standard rollator, and that is usually the limiting factor in older homes and bathrooms. Get in touch if you would like help checking the fit for a specific client.
