    Description

The Saehan SH5001 Hydraulic Hand Dynamometer is a trusted clinical tool for measuring isometric grip strength. Its sealed hydraulic system delivers consistent, repeatable readings up to 90 kg (200 lb), and the peak-hold needle keeps the highest reading on the dial until it is reset, so results can be recorded accurately after each trial.

A five-position adjustable handle accommodates a wide range of hand sizes, making the SH5001 well suited to hand therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, aged care and research settings. Published research has found the Saehan dynamometer to be valid and reliable compared with the Jamar dynamometer. Supplied with a hard carrying case for safe storage and transport.

    FAQs

Q: What is the capacity of the Saehan SH5001 Hand Dynamometer?

A: The SH5001 measures grip strength from 0 to 90 kg (0 to 200 lb), which covers the full range of adult and paediatric grip strengths seen in clinical practice.

Q: Does it adjust to different hand sizes?

A: Yes. The handle has five positions, giving a grip span from 3.5 cm to 8.6 cm. Position 2 is the standard setting used in most grip strength testing protocols.

Q: How does the peak-hold needle work?

A: The peak-hold needle automatically stays at the highest force reached during each squeeze, so you can read and record the result after the trial. Simply turn the reset knob to return the needle to zero before the next test.

Q: Is it suitable for both rehabilitation and fitness assessments?

A: Yes. It is widely used in hand therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, aged care falls and frailty screening, and research.

    Q: What is included?

A: The SH5001 hydraulic hand dynamometer and a hard carrying case for storage and transport.
